Nokia N900 Mobile Computer Phone Review

Nokia does not want you to call the N900 as a smartphone. According to the company, the Nokia N900 is a mobile computer. Running Linux Maemo 5, the Nokia N900 follow-up of 4,1-driven Maemo N810 Internet Tablet provides the Web as you would expect on your computer, including Flash support 9.4. This device is also full of high-end specifications, including the Cortex-A8 processor and 32 GB of memory. However, the N900’s less-than-intuitive interface and bulky design is probably the most serious Linux geeks goal break.
Hardware manufactures the N900 is a solid device, but with 4.4 x 2.4 x 0.8 cm and 6.4 grams, it is relatively large and heavy. The smartphone competitors actually the HTC HD2 (4.7 x 2.6 x 0.4 inches, 5.5 oz) in size, but the phone has a much larger 4.3-inch screen and no physical keyboard.
The face of the black N900 is dominated by the 3.5-inch (800 x 480) resistive touch screen that slides out to reveal a keyboard. There is a pin in the left side of the phone and hides a mini-USB charging port on the top. The volume switch, knob, and the camera quick-launch buttons on the right side of the phone. The back has a 5-megapixel camera with a shutter speed slide and dual LED flash, and the limitation of the camera to pop out to set as a hinge N900 if aimed at a desk, a movie.
The N900 is missing two buttons that are using a mobile phone is crucial: Send and End keys. This means that if you quickly make a call, you should wipe the device UI screen until you find the dialer icon.
Like the Nokia N97 is the keyboard of the N900 a really annoying feature: The space bar is not in the middle. Instead, it was right, a bit of adjustment while typing required. Otherwise, the keys have a good bounce, even if a bit small for our taste.
