Repo men review – In the dystopian future, the entity known as “The Union” will be able to sign synthetic organ replacement and expansion investments that are willing to share their names on the dotted line. Of course, there is a significant cost and lose out if you are on your payments, a repo man will recover your new liver, lung or heart love, even if they pull out of the chest.
That sounds familiar because it was the central idea behind a little seen film “Repo: The Genetic Opera,” which was released by Darren Lynn Bousman directed last year (and was exploring various musical forms as the years before). Of course the big difference is outside the budget, is that “Repo Men presents itself as an action-thriller like” Repo: The Genetic Opera “is thrown a campy musical, with some not so subtle social commentary in. Curiously, despite the premise “Repo Men” is not very political, and it is not as action-as I would have liked. He takes himself very seriously in most cases, it works best when a feeling of being a humor (the scene where a young surgeon was brilliant). Unfortunately, “Repo Men” offers nothing new to all the features like the many scenes that are directly lifted from other films. I was very surprised that so closely mirrors the end of director Terry Gilliam, Universal Studios ( the company behind “Repo Men” denied) to release, because the end was too gloomy. Apparently, some twenty years after the studio has decided, was the end good enough to reuse.
“Is Repo Men,” a catastrophe? No, but it is hardly commendable. It’s more fun as a “surrogate” or on a line with “Gamer” or “Pandorum”, but ultimately is not much to say. “Repo Men” is for die-hard fans of Jude Law and a very forgiving sci-fi addict.
