Leprechaun Pictures for St. Patrick’s Day. March 17 celebrates St. Patrick’s Day, the patron saint of Ireland. For partiers around the world, that means wearing green (so you won’t get pinched!), drinking beer and eating yummy authentically Irish food to celebrate. If you’re lucky, you might even be in a parade float.
Another St. Paddy’s Day staple? Leprechauns! The fictional fairies are the mascot for this occasion, and they’re known for being mischievous, short and of course, clad in green.
Leprechauns can be found in literature way back from medieval times, when they were said to be practical jokers who make shoes for a living. The jury’s still out on whether they’re the good guys or the bad guys: they’re just stirring up trouble somewhere in between.
