Leprechaun Pictures for St. Patrick’s Day. March 17 celebrates St. Patrick’s Day, the patron saint of Ireland. For partiers around the world, that means wearing green (so you won’t get pinched!), drinking beer and eating yummy authentically Irish food to celebrate. If you’re lucky, you might even be in a parade float.

Another St. Paddy’s Day staple? Leprechauns! The fictional fairies are the mascot for this occasion, and they’re known for being mischievous, short and of course, clad in green.

Leprechauns can be found in literature way back from medieval times, when they were said to be practical jokers who make shoes for a living. The jury’s still out on whether they’re the good guys or the bad guys: they’re just stirring up trouble somewhere in between. Read more

Greyhound Bus Killer Could be Released in 5 Years According to Psychiatrist.

Vince Li, the man responsible for the incredibly violent murder of Tim McLean on a Greyhound bus in in 2008, could be released back into society as early as five years from now according to his first psychiatrist Dr. Stanley Yaren.

Dr. Yaren says that Li has come a long way since he brutally murdered Tim McLean. At the time, Li was suffering from untreated schizophrenia and psychotic delusions.

Dr. Stanley Yaren, Li’s original psychiatrist, said Monday that his former patient is making good progress in treatment — and could be released into the community in a matter of years.

“It’s really a guess,” Yaren said. “But I’m going to say a time frame within five years is not unrealistic. (Source: montrealgazette.com)

Li was not found criminally responsible for his actions during his 2009 trial, and Li was sentenced to be confined indefinitely at under heavy security at the Selkirk Mental Health Centre. Read more

Earthquake Los Angeles, La Earthquake, An earthquake east of downtown Los Angeles rippled across Southern California before dawn Tuesday, jolting millions of people awake and putting first-responders on alert. “All is calm in the city of Los Angeles,” Los Angeles Fire Department Capt. Steve Ruda said. “The building started shaking. The quake hit not far from the 1987 Whittier Narrows earthquake, a magnitude 5.9 quakes that killed eight people and caused more than $350 million in damage. A 4.4 magnitude earthquake shook California early this morning just east of downtown Los Angeles.

USS Indianapolis

One of the lucky survivors of CA-35 USS Indianapolis cruiser, William Hafford Sharp reportedly passed away this Sunday while at the age 83. The then 19-year-old William a Jacksonville resident was among the USS Indianapolis seamen that were hit by a Japanese torpedo while in the year 1945. However, William survived for four days.

Those four days proved to be the toughest of their lives for as many as 800 seamen that were aboard the Portland-class USS Indianapolis cruiser ship among 1,196 when an I-58 submarine under the use of Imperial Japanese Navy torpedoed the ship. It took the ship only 12 minutes to sink following the massive torpedo attack and down she went along with as many as 300 crew members. Read more

Austin announced that, under his orders, Bret Hart’s father, Stu, would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame Class of 2010. Austin then recalled how tough The “Hit Man” was in their WrestleMania 13 match as his fellow WWE Hall of Famer signed the match contract. As Mr. McMahon glared across the table at his hobbled opponent’s crutches and broken leg, he also gleefully signed his name to the document. And that’s when the trap was slowly, sweetly revealed.
