The story of Diane Schuler will be featured on Friday’s edition of the Oprah Winfrey Show. On July 26, 2009, Diane Schuler was killed in a car crash that took the lives of eight people, including her two-year-old daughter and three young nieces.
At the time of the Diane Schuler car accident, her body was found to have a blood alcohol content of 0.19, more than twice the legal limit. Traces of marijuana were also found in her system. A vodka bottle was found in the vehicle after the crash.
Diane Schuler’s husband, Daniel Schuler, insists a mistake was made and his wife was not under the influence at the time of the crash. He believes his wife may have suffered from stroke-like symptoms when the incident happened, and the high alcohol content in her blood was caused by a fire caused by the crash. Read more
